Swarm box

3 DIMENSIONS: 1/1 3/4 SI 1/2

The balm V6 (3+3) is made of PUR, with 20 mm wall thickness. The hive is designed to accommodate a family of bees on 6 frames or 2 families on 3 frames each. The separation of the debris into two enclosures is done with a movable diaphragm. Each enclosure is equipped with a flight hatch. The components of the balm are: antivarroa plinth with tray and two entrances; side walls; diaphragm; feeder with two compartments; cover with fixing clamp. The legs on the base and on the lid allow the overlapping of the tiles.

The component parts are assembled with screws. The delivery is made in the form of putty; assembly is done by the beekeeper.

The body of the balm is made of 2 short walls and 2 long walls; the walls are assembled using screws. The body is fixed by screws on the base.

The hive is designed to accommodate a family of bees on a maximum of 6 frames or two families each on 3 frames. To separate the two families, the interior space is separated into two enclosures with the help of a removable diaphragm.

Each enclosure has its own arrangement, one in front, one in the back. The entrances have a flight board that also represents the closing door of the enclosure.

The feeder is in the form of a tray for syrup, divided in two, each side having holes for the bees to pass through.

The cover has a larger surface than the sprinkler to protect against precipitation. On its surface there are four prints that can also be found on the bottom of the hive and allow the overlapping of several swarms.

The balm is manufactured in 3 sizes:
V6 – 1/1 for the 300mm frame;
V6 – 3/4 for the 230mm frame and
V6 – 1/2 for the 162mm frame.

The subassemblies of the balm are:
1. Plinth with antivarroa window and tray
2. Body for the entire frame (1/1)
3. Feeder
4. Cover and cover clamp

The subassemblies of the balm are made of rigid polyurethane; the walls having a thickness of 20 mm.
