Queen – Excluder
The queen-excluder device is a PUR frame on which a hanneman grate is fixed. On the contour of the PUR frame, a closed secondary device is made with a plastic ruler, fixed with a screw. The anti-spill device is placed between the nest and the magazine. On the eve of the hatching of a new queen, the main hive closes and the secondary hive opens. In this situation, the bees can circulate in the hive, instead the matac is closed in the nest and prevented from causing swarming. This situation must be maintained for a limited time, after which the main drain must be reopened.
WIRE MESH DEVICE
Beekeepers with pavilions; as well as in other situations, there is the option of equipping the frame of the anti-cluster device with galvanized wire mesh.
This device can be used in cases where we want to achieve better ventilation of the hive.
Reduction of roaches and grace for mice
Hive entrance reduction and grace for mice is a board in the shape and size of a flight board made of high hardness PUR with 3 grooves on each side. The reduction is placed in the hive entrance and fixed with the door hook. The grooves (holes for bees) must be positioned in the vicinity of the hive.
Pollen collector for bottom
For V10 and V12 hives we offer a pollen collector for the bottom part. It sits between the nest and the plinth. The pollen collector has a hive with dimensions and position identical to the hive’s hive. Inside this device there is a flap for directing the bees. When the flap is positioned down, the entrance to the hive is open and the entrance to the pollen collector is closed. When the flap is positioned up, the entrance to the hive is closed and the entrance to the pollen collector is open. Changing the valve position is done by hand. The pollen collects in an accessible tray behind the hive. The collector model offered has many advantages: the surface of the calibrated holes is larger than that of the hive entrance collectors; it does not stress or harm the bees, it is very easy to handle, the collected pollen is perfectly protected against precipitation.
Metal handles for handling and transport
Tie down strap handles for moving the hive are designed to grab the hive from two sides to move it. The handles are made in two lengths L= 50cm. and L= 20cm
WEBBING
The hive webbing is made of PP fabric with a metal or plastic buckle. The webbing is supplied in 3.5 m length. Other lengths are available on request. We recommend that the packing of the hive with webbing is done only during transport. Attached you can see a short video showing how to fix the webbing correctly.
The flange is an accessory of the cover made of stainless steel and is used to fix the cover to the hive body.
